Either I can't see it, or he/she has a
sense of humor, and that is actually the avatar.
That's a polite way of saying socially awkward.

I was going for sarcasm, but yeah, that'll work

Just did the same.
I've already updated twice to I hesitate to change it again. Oh well, I was really specific. Ie below 116 above 110 between Amsterdam and broadway. Hopefully that pretty clearly demonstrated that I am not interested in the Bronx.
Anyone else getting stupidly excited whenever they see a shot Manhattan on TV? I only live 40 mins away and I am still crazy pumped to move.

I changed it probably half a dozen times after I submitted. I don't think it matters as long as you're not under review.

Unless it pushes your application back to the bottom on the pile every time you do it.

Yup. I've always wanted to live in NYC at some point, it's about damn time.
I caved in and updated my housing application. Just to be safe.

Now yall are making me worried. I wasn't before, but if everyone else puts "NO BRONX" and I'm the only one that doesn't have it, guess who's gonna get it.

oh really? that's good to hear. I thought I read somewhere that they'd just place you on a WL and there's no guarantee of housing at that point.
Can we still edit the comments section and add in: "NOTHING IN THE BRONX!!!" ?
You're not under review yet right? Then I'd say you can, though I bet if you said anything about wanting to be close to the law school it should be obvious you don't want the Bronx. Also, while rejecting the first offer means you don't have a guarantee of housing (that is what they say), I'd bet what jetissent said is true.
I talked to a 2L who was living in a studio when I was there. She got some sort of apartment assignment she didn't want and called to the Law School Housing department(?) who moved her to the studio. I think we'll be fine if we say no to the Arbors.

LOL. Quick, change it!
And indeed, I can't wait to live in Manhattan. It's been a dream of mine for quite some time now... I hope I can spend my entire professional career there.

At the beginning of my cycle I wasn't all that stoked on NYC and now I can't imagine going to law school anywhere else.

Glad to hear that man. I can't imagine going to school in a location that I hated.

I don't know NY geography at all. I said in my housing app to place me between 112th and 120th streets. That means no Bronx right? LOL

LOL yeah, not even close

To give you an idea, Morningside Heights is bounded to the North by 125th (where Harlem begins) and to the South by 110th. Many think of it as a part of the UWS, others think of it as a part of the greater Harlem area.

Hey everyone! I'm also an incoming 1L at CLS.
My SO is in the Class of '13 and we were assigned the Arbor in her first year. Long story short, the shuttle ride to CLS is dreadful (drivers are nice but we feared for our safety several times). The building itself is great but the subway is pretty far away and while the area around the Arbor is nice enough, it's not a "young" area. The Arbor is really only great for couples with kids. Having to shuttle from and to school during your 1L year really hampers your social and extra-curricular options. My SO did well but the commute was a real bother.
If anyone hasn't opted against the Arbor yet on their housing form, I strongly suggest you do.

Yeah I guess you guys are right, probably no harm in a 3rd update. I just added the "Oh lord, please don't send me to the Bronx" plea as well.

Hi everyone!
Is anyone's housing app under "YOUR HOUSING APPLICATION IS UNDER REVIEW BY YOUR SCHOOL" status yet?
Mine is still stuck at "received by UAH" and I am dying to find out my housing assignment! (Okay, I do realize it's only 5/4 but still...

)
I really hope I don't get stuck with The Arbor

Anyone else try to log into the orientation site and get "account not set up fully" ? I guess I'll try again Monday.

Fine, I'm convinced. I made the change.
ETA: I just tried the orientation website and it isn't working for me either.
