I passed the February 2025 Bar and got my notification on April 22nd! I submitted my application to the 2nd Dept on April 25th and received a confirmation email shortly after.
A bit of a hiccup with my law school certificates: my first school (I transferred from CUNY Law to Brooklyn Law) didn’t submit the form until May 15th. sigh Brooklyn submitted theirs the same day I requested it—shoutout to their admin team. I get that it’s a hectic time with graduation and all, so I’m trying to be understanding... emphasis on trying.
I sent a follow-up email to the 2nd Dept just in case they need anything else from me. I’d love to say I’m being patient, but truthfully, I’m not great at that virtue—especially since there’s a salary bump waiting once I'm admitted, so I might be a little extra antsy.
For any past February takers: do you remember how long the Character & Fitness process took? Do you know how often the ceremonies are held? Most posts I see are about the July cycle, so it's hard to tell what’s typical for a Feb applicant.
If you’ve been through this already (Feb or July!), I’d really appreciate if you shared your timeline and experience—any info helps. Thanks in advance!
