She was a visiting professor and used 70 percent of her previous essay questions in the essay section (50% multiple choice 50% essay exam) that she published this spring at another law school. Many kids somehow got the question beforehand and bow everyones just outraged over this matter.
The most likely scenario is that they will strike off the reused exam but thats not going to make essay portion any fairer. Those essay questions reused took anyone at least 1 .5 hr in 2 hr essay exam. Even if you grade those unused 30 % of the questions people who saw the exam before have humongous advantages. Fml
The morale of the story is that you should always look up previous exams especially if he or she is visiting professor.

I'm not trying to burst your bubble, but I don't see any way that they'll strike any portion of the reused content. I had professors who reused entire previous exams. It sucks that some people who didn't know were at a disadvantage, but hopefully you'll learn from it going forward. Best thing is to forget about it and move on.joycool9567 wrote:She was a visiting professor and used 70 percent of her previous essay questions in the essay section (50% multiple choice 50% essay exam) that she published this spring at another law school. Tend to agree with this. It seems like an extremely radical step to strike a portion of an exam just because the professor had used the questions before. It's common knowledge that professors reuse questions, either word for word or, at least, in structure and format.rwhyAn wrote:I'm not trying to burst your bubble, but I don't see any way that they'll strike any portion of the reused content.
