Amending Resume Dates

Post by Throwaway98768 » Sun Nov 17, 2019 6:33 am

Getting ready to graduate and preparing for the bar. Also getting married and filling out a visa so rechecked employment dates for a few things and realised there was an error on a date for an internship on my law school application.

Should be April-July
Right now it says March-July

I finished July 1. Is this something I need to email my school about? Is it going to be an issue if I just put the correct month on the bar exam fill-out? I am a bit worried because I guessed originally (it was a volunteer internship we didn't get paid so I didn't have a w2 or anything) and don't want to look stupid with my school at this point.

Bar C&F committees receive a copy of your law school application, and it's best to not have anything inconsistent between your law school application and what you submit to the bar. I'd reach out to your law school and get your application retroactively corrected. It obviously shouldn't be a big deal - I can't imagine any weight being given by adcoms to whether your internship lasted 4 vs. 3 months.
