Course Selection Advice

Post by ralph2019 » Sun Nov 17, 2019 12:24 am

I'm in the process of choosing 2L spring courses. Broadly, I'm pursuing a transactional career, with a specific practice area TBD. Beyond the standard doctrinal courses, I've taken Federal Income Tax, Corporate Finance, Accounting, and am currently taking Corporations, Gratuitous Transfers Taxation, Statistical Methods for Lawyers, International Trade and Investment, and course on legal theory.

I'm considering taking: Evidence, Professional Responsibility, skills course on negotiation, and need a few courses to fill out my schedule. I'm considering: Bankruptcy, Secured Transactions, Corporate Taxation, Antitrust, a skills course on real estate drafting, Jurisprudence. I've heard Secured Transactions is a must, but I also love tax, I'm tempted to choose that instead, as I've heard it solidifies knowledge of corporate structures learned in Corporations (the two conflict, so I'd have to choose one). Any thoughts or advice are greatly appreciated!
