Taking six (6) classes worth 15 credits 2L year?
Seems like six classes would be tough to manage even if the credits only add up to 15. Any thoughts?

Took 5 classes for 15 credits
Just be careful and read evals before doing this. Some classes take more effort than their credit hours. If all your classes are like this, then you're screwed. On the other hand, it could work out really well if all your classes are super chill. In the end, it should balance out.
Studying for 6 finals sucks, but in my experience I thought it was way easier studying for two 2-credit finals than one 4-credit final.
I do remember my semester felt very hectic. But that might be because I took 15 credits.

Be wary of 2 credit classes, as the amount of work required for them can be deceptive. Last year, I had several 2 credit classes that required as much or more effort than the 3 credit classes I was taking.

Yeah I agree. Something I noticed (which may or may not be true): 1 credit classes feel like 0.5 credit. 2 credit classes feel like 3 credits. 3 credit classes feel like 2.5 credits. 4 credit classes feel like 3-5 credits (but usually 4).SFSpartan wrote:Be wary of 2 credit classes, as the amount of work required for them can be deceptive. However, I do remember all my 2cr seminars were chill af. My seminars met once a week, had "reading" (which was mandatory but not really since exams didn't cover them), had a paper option in lieu of a final which could be completed in one weekend, or an easy final. Also, seminar's aren't graded on a curve (at my school) so professor could give out whatever grade they wanted. Note: I did check course evals before signing up so maybe I just took the right seminars.

Thank you both for the input! I'm still debating. I have noticed my 2 credit classes in the past have required quite a bit of work. My schedule with six classes would involve two bar classes, two writing classes (although no seminars there are short papers throughout the semester), one "skills" class, and another substantive class that is not a bar class.
Maybe I can go to all six classes the first week to try to get an idea of how much work there would be. Thanks again!

I've taken at least 5 classes for at least 15-17 credits every semester and I'm also on law review and moot court. It's not hard. You just need to manage your time and work hard.
