Starting to study for MPRE before PR

Is it a good idea to start studying for MPRE before PR?

Read many threads here where it's been said that PR does not really help with MPRE.

However, I suck at standardized tests and blow them completely. Had to get it together for LSAT. I will be taking PR next semester (Spring 2017), so should I start studying now anyways to get a head start, or will it be better after I take PR?

I'm going to read the free Barbri stuff and I think the online program comes with questions and a video as well, right? And the video is apparently a must watch....
