Re: Drop out?
Hustle all summer networking and mass-mailing. Then do OCI and continue networking and mass-mailing your ass off. If nothing comes up, then reassess before school starts. There's no reason to worry about this in June - just bust your ass and job hunt. If nothing happens by late August, decide then. There's gotta be some deadline whereafter tuition is due and nonrefundable... I see no reason to decide anything until then.

Why did you enroll in law school in the first place? This is a 100 % individual decision and nothing anyone here can say should really make this decision for you.

What would you do if you drop out, OP? What is your UG major?

Re: Drop out?
Depends on what you want to do. If you want to do PI, I think they care less about grades and more about your commitment towards PI. Hear the same for certain gov careers. Biglaw is probably going to be out of the picture, unless you have some solid solid connections. If you know what you did wrong first year, you can work to fix it 2L.

Re: Drop out?
Can confirm this is true for PI. I had a bad semester and ended law school with a not so high GPA. Still had a bunch of PI/gov offers due to networking and demonstrated commitment.Londonbear wrote:Depends on what you want to do.
