You, clearly, since you described it as a fake cry.Gifted Hands wrote:she could tell it was sincere, i promise you that. Who can cry on command?
But yeah, way to absolutely miss what Dcc said.
Edit: your story about this and how it changes is not inspiring confidence in your ability to troll.

Re: SERIOUS ISSUE
Ok, so part of being a grownup (in my opinion) is recognizing that your actions have consequences. I'm not attacking you OP, but you seem pretty immature and entitled. You were a dick and the world is punishing you for it. The lesson you should take is not "how can I get out of this" but rather, "how can I make this right and not be such a dick in the future." You goofed, take the punishment like an adult. Crying is not a get out of jail free card in the real world.Gifted Hands wrote:she could tell it was sincere, i promise you that. Go and apologize to the attorney, not because it'll get you out of trouble but because it's the right thing to do. Apologize to the school and suck it up. Maybe even apologize to the landlord for the situation.
Sometimes being a grownup means taking what you deserve rather than what you can get over with. That's my advice, OP.

In all fairness though, i was behaving like a grown up when i kindly texted the LL that i would be moving out a month in advance and offered to keep it clean so that he may show it to prospective renters. Then he sticks his rude atty on me. Is anyone sympathetic to my cause? i admit i should not have called him at all in the first place.

I'm thinking of transferring to the local state school (i'm in a private school). All the issues above aside, will my elevated GPA (bc median here is b +) (and median there is b) remain in place?

In another troll thread that OP started, I mentioned DaRascal, pointing out that DaRascal was better at this kind of thing than Gifted Hands is.AntsInMyEyesJohnson wrote:Has anyone taken the guess yet that OP is DaRascal?

There's a difference between trolling and "trying to be entertaining.... while also being sincere"

Please consult a C&F attorney for counsel on how to pay rent and how not to be completely bitchmade. This is not legal advice.

Re: SERIOUS ISSUE
I am not familiar with your previous posts, but is your school one that has a shaky reputation already? If so, you may be able to leverage a complaint to the ABA, yelp, Better Business Bureau, etc, into a settlement with the school
Possibly even a lawsuit. You could add in some misrepresentation of employment figures too. I'm sure if you do some digging you can come with some good data. Discovery alone would be pretty expensive for the school

Sorry, I missed the part about the con law prof. How is he or she involved? Is your prof offering to help you pro bono with your First Amendment claim?Gifted Hands wrote:they are rated RED by FIREballouttacontrol wrote:I am not familiar with your previous posts, but is your school one that has a shaky reputation already? yes it is an issue he feels strongly about (college censoring). he was quoted in a FIRE article saying the school's code in the abstract was not clearly const.

Re: SERIOUS ISSUE
Your prof sounds clever, as he has figured out how to tie your private school's code to state action. When you're done sticking it to the administration, you should see if the prof would be interested in co-authoring a law review article with you about how the First Amendment can be wielded against private universities. This could also solve your "no law review" issue. Who needs to be on law review when you're published in a law review!Gifted Hands wrote:yes it is an issue he feels strongly about (college censoring). he was quoted in a FIRE article saying the school's code in the abstract was not clearly const.
