NY July Bar Exam (NYLE online portion)

Post by WolverineMachine » Thu Mar 03, 2016 4:08 pm

Looks like we'll have to take the online course (NYLC) and then finish it off with a 50mc, 2 hour open book, online exam (NYLE). My question is when do you think it would be best to take it -

May 26, 2016, 12:00 pm EDT
August 18, 2016, 12:00 pm EDT
October 13, 2016, 12:00 pm EDT
December 15, 2016, 12:00 pm EST

Personally, I'll be taking Barbri which I believe starts shortly before the May 26 date, and I hope to be away during August on a post-bar trip. I'm guessing it makes most sense to get it over with in May, but if not, then October/December would be painfully annoying to get back in the groove of things.

General thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated!

August 18th seems to be the best time to take it.

You're going to be away on a trip for over 3 weeks?

My school recently told us to check with our employer--some employers want you to be as fully-along in the bar application process as possible (i.e. not be taking it in Oct/Dec).
