Rate My Professor: Columbia Edition

Post by Biglawprettyplease » Thu Feb 11, 2016 6:47 pm

Thought it might be worthwhile to have one of these, I'll update it daily based on activity, hopefully it might be of some use to everyone. Please let me know if there are any other categories I should include. Together we can beat the system!

Professor Name-----------Topic Taught-------------Amount of Work Required----------Hide the Ball (Y/N)
Henry Paul Monaghan--------Everything (Window Washing)----------N/A-------------------------Apparently Not

There are course evals, but only a fraction of every class can be bothered to fill them out the week before exams.

Edited to include lol

And nobody fills our course evals, nobody uses ratemyprofessor for columbia, and since this is anonymous perhaps people will be more truthful and straightforward

Aren't all course evals and rate my professor anonymous?

Nobody uses ratemyprofessor, and there have been concerns because the evals are done directly from LawNet that they might not be entirely anonymous somehow

I think those concerns are misplaced.

I've only been in one course where a course evaluation mysteriously never got posted: Con Law with Thomas. Draw your own conclusions.

idk i think this could be helpful. maybe its misguided to try to be choosing a school based on professor reviews, but I've been trying to find info, especially about 1L profs.

Rate my Professor has lots of stuff on NYU but has nothing on CLS. I've only read bad things on here about CLS professors, but that could just be because this is where people come to bitch.
