Thanks for the feedback.totesTheGoat wrote:I read the op, and here's what I'll say in response:ontopoftheworld wrote:yeah and i dont get how people here cant read the op
1) Knock off the act. You're a mediocre student at a mediocre school with practically nonexistent job prospects. If most of us were stuck in your shoes we'd probably be pissing our pants in fear. Your "self-confidence" schtick is a thin veneer, and it's easy to see through.
2) A 2.8 is not "straight Bs." A 3.0 is straight Bs. Perhaps your lack of precision is affecting your grades. Oh, also, top 50.8% means that there is 50.8% of your class with better grades than you, not that you're better than 50.8%. Again, lack of precision does not bode well for a law student.
3) Your transfer prospects with a 3.4 GPA aren't going to be particularly amazing, and that assumes you're getting a 4.0 this semester. Perhaps it's time to face reality that you may be finishing your law career at your current school.
4) There are a thousand reasons why you could be doing poorly in law school. Start walking through them one by one. Schedule time with your professors to go over your "straight Bs" so they can show you why you didn't get As. That's the only way you're going to improve. A bunch of people on a forum can't diagnose your problems based on a poorly scribed OP and a handful of arrogant retorts.
The "self confidence schtick" is not something for you to address. I don't care for any of this "confidence" bull shit going on here.
I don't care for whether I have confidence regarding my future at this school or not.
I want basic experience-based answers for those that were in my position.
Assuming you are so well above and beyond me, you do not need to address anything from my op since you weren't ever in my position to bring Bs to As.
Also, there's absolutely no point in bringing up anything other than my basic question of HOW TO GET As from Bs. Super general.
As for me, I know where I lacked.
Procrastinating. Overly driven yet not enough act.
Stating facts and rules separately.
Not finishing in time.
Focusing too much on issue spotting and not enough in-depth analysis.
Not actually sticking to reading E&Es consistently.
Spending too much time in case briefing the first half of the semester.
Relying too much on pre-written outlines.
Not writing out practice exams.
Not having enough practice in multiple choice.
Other than these issues Ive found, there weren't much more, which is why I am here asking for advice.
[So if you can't give advice on exactly how to approach these issues, then why are you even "answering" my post]
I don't need or want anything else; so if you have any more comments regarding my "confidence" or lack thereof, just don't bother posting.
As for my grades and class rank, 3.4 is absolutely possible to get to T20. Why? Because so many of the students here have already transferred.
I don't want my peers to know I am trying to transfer (hence the reason for this entire forum).
I'm not asking for Harvard. I'm asking for Top 20 schools. Borderline Top 20, really.
Therefore, anything that will not help me achieve this in new and insightful ways will be absolutely useless and I will no longer spend no more than a second glancing at it. Please spend your time wisely, disgusting people of the forum
