Examsoft and laptops

Post by theInnerCircle » Sat Jan 16, 2016 5:56 pm

Hey all, have some technology question(s).

I currently have a realllyyyyy old clunker macbook, which I use only for exams (examsoft), a chromebook which I use for everyday, and a PC which I use for everything else (I produce music as a hobby).

Prob is I will be graduating soon, and I have to take the bar etc. I'm frankly getting tired of hauling around the macbook, and though I've taken care of it so it works great, it can't update past friggin 10.7 or some shit. As I'm sure many of you know, examsoft doesn't work on CBs.

Has anyone ever used/currently uses one of those new tiny windows laptops for examsoft? Like this: http://www.frys.com/product/8320217?sou ... fgodfLAD2g

thx

wouldn't you want a bigger screen/keyboard to take the bar?

In terms of screen worries, pixels over size is most important right now. So a size of 11.6 should be fine, and any pixel density is way better than the clunker at this point.

If people have comments over keyboard key travel/response, that would be a nice mention plz! Plus I'm a girl--no large man hands to worry about w/ a smaller keyboard.

Edit: doesn't have to be the exact laptop I posted, but basically one of the smaller/cheaper windows ones that are around nowadays. And I would prefer not having to cave and buy a macbook air at a time when financial aid will dry up.

Buy a used/refurbished Thinkpad X220 from ebay, craigslist, newegg, etc. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 5YV3G59144

You'd won't get a better laptop at that price point.
