Class rankings

Post by blinkmtt3 » Fri Jan 15, 2016 6:28 pm

I am a 1L and just got my rank from last semester. I am in the top 20% of my class. Is this a good or bad ranking as far as scoring summer internships in the federal system or with a large firm? I know it's decent as compared to my class, but I'm not sure what employers are looking for in their interns.

Top 20% from where? At some TT/TTT schools (like mine) the big firms won't even screen you if you aren't top 15% (with a disclaimer that top 10% is preferred). I'm sure these numbers climb along with the ranking of the school...

We'll that's too bad... I'm in a TTT. I guess I'll just keep at it and get those grades up! I mean... that was the plan anyways...
