Is it weird to go to bar review alone?
I never really went to bar review as a 1L so is it weird to go there alone if I want to check it out?

No it's not weird. I'm assuming you know people going though. If you didn't know anyone that would be weird honestly. I would probably show up an hour or so late which is generally the norm but if you are early just go to the bar and start drinking, really not that weird.

I don't care what my sponsor says, it is never weird to sit and drink at a bar alone so long as you look angry, sad, or like you're waiting for someone / trying to not look like you've been stood up.

You're going to be a lawyer so you have to get used to both drinking alone and drinking while standing in circles and having meaningless conversations. At bar review you get do to both of these things.

What's the probability that you run into someone you know or have class with? If it's over 50%, problem solved. If it's less than 50%, you'll get to meet new people and have witty conversations with them.

Until they replace bartenders with robots - which isn't too far off - you are never alone at a bar. At worst, you are with the equivalent of a distant relative that you tolerate on special occasions. At best, you are with your SO/Best Friend. Every relationship on that (inclusive) spectrum is an acceptable drinking relationship!NotMyRealName09 wrote:I don't care what my sponsor says, it is never weird to sit and drink at a bar alone so long as you look angry, sad, or like you're waiting for someone / trying to not look like you've been stood up.

This is spot on, but I have to admit I was joking - I don't have a drinking problem. Its everyone else who seems to have problems with my drinking, but I'm totally cool with it.Minnietron wrote:Until they replace bartenders with robots - which isn't too far off - you are never alone at a bar.
