At my school, we split our Civ Pro into two units and don't cover the typical Civ Pro stuff like joinder, Erie, proper jurisdiction, etc, until Civ Pro II. Instead we've been focusing on more generalities like what is substantive and procedural due process (the Mathews v Eldridge test, for example).
I've been following Arrow's guide pretty closely but I'm having difficulties finding supplemental materials and hypotheticals to practice these lofty topics. Is there just nothing I can do until we get into the more substantive topics? The rest of the semester is about how cases work their way through civil procedure (pleadings, complaints, defenses, weeks of time on discovery, summary judgments, etc).

Re: Civ Pro Supplementary Materials
We had a pretty similar setup and I found E&E really helpful.
