Barbri bar material for 1L prep

Post by l18 » Fri Sep 18, 2015 8:32 pm

I am wondering if I can use their bar prep material to study - for my crim class the professor has multiple choice questions on the exam that are similar to those from the bar. At least that's what i've been told. If I want to practice can I use the MBE barbri book? Someone is selling the 2015 version for $175 locally..

I also read somewhere to get the conviser but I can't find that much info on it. Has anyone used it before?

$175 seems like a lot of money to learn the stuff you're already learning in the class you're already paying for.

Don't they have BLL outlines you can sign up for?

I have the barbri 1l outlines, just thinking doing a lot of questions would be helpful. The outline book has 12 multiple choice questions in it.

My crim professor is teaching us the common law and not the penal code so I am totally f'n confused because each case says something different / is from a different jurisdiction.

.
If you want to do multiple choice questions, sign up for BARBRI. That way your money will actually go towards paying for your bar prep course instead of being wasted, and you will get access to multiple choice questions for every topic and for video lectures on all your 1L classes.

Ok, i've signed up. Are you referring to the "STUDYSMART LAW SCHOOL" on the barbri website? It has three 18 question section for each topic.

Hmmmm, I just looked at the website, it looks like they changed they way they are offering the 1L material this year. But according to the website, the 1L Success Pack is 99$ and has "hundreds of multiple choice questions" as well as the videos I was talking about. I have no idea if its good, but if you are really trying to spend money on multiple choice questions, I would strongly recommend you choose this over buying a (overpriced) MBE book.
