Purchasing Textbooks?

Any idea where the best prices for textbooks are? And how are important is it to have the most updated textbook? EG my required Con Law book is the one by Stone, 7th edition. Are there any substantial differences between the 6th and 7th editions? Or for the Con Law (Stone) supplement, are there substantial differences between the various editions throughout the years - ie do I have to get the 2015 version as opposed to, say, the 2013 version?
