SC Swearing In Question

Post by christy17 » Sun Aug 23, 2015 1:22 pm

Can you be sworn in in South Carolina without taking Bridge the Gap? In other words, if you pass the Bar, but have not completed Bridge the Gap, what happens? Thanks :)

I don't think so. The requirements listed online for bar admission include completion if the hedge the gap program. I *think* that one is coming up pretty soon though. You should be able to sign up for that

Now the next 2 months of waiting for bar results will be the tough part. How'd you feel about the exam?

Thanks for your response. They don't have anymore "in person" for this year. I guess the next one is in January. They only let you watch the video if you went to school out of state.

I honestly have no idea how to feel about the exam. I completed every section, but overheard others saying they didn't have time to complete some of the sections. I can't tell if that's a good or bad sign. The wait is torture.

So then do I have to wait to be sworn in after the February exam all because of this stupid program? My fault for totally forgetting about it. Such a bummer.
