Being a Visiting Student Forum

Does anyone know the process of being a visiting student or what the school requires? I just finished my 1st year of law school and did below average (bottom 3rd) due to extenuating circumstances going on at home. I"m trying to be a visiting student in NJ for my 3rd year to be closer to family. My fiance and I are also interested in getting married sometime in April of 2017 which will be my 3rd year. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what schools require in the admissions process? I haven't done exceptionally well, but I figured schools don't really look at grades because I'm not essentially getting the degree from that school and just taking classes there. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
