Refinancing: Fixed rate or variable rate?

I got a refinancing quote and the variable rate is about 1.5% lower than the fixed rate for a 5-year loan that I plan to pay off in about 18 months.

With the current market, would you pick fixed rate or variable rate? Is the student loan bubble going to burst soon? How about the situation in Greece -- will that affect interest rates?
