The nice thing is you'll never wonder "what if?" You thought law school might be your thing, you gave it a shot, and it didn't work out. Not a whole lot lost, and you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you tried.

First year is not particularly fun and law school is not either. It is a hard profession. I found the in class experience to be absurd and boring. The people to be aggravating. Then you have the bar which is another round of BS.
But law school is different than the work. Summer jobs and interning during the school year were really rewarding for me and fun. So, I am not sure people would agree with me but you could wait it out to see how summer goes.
You will likely make a higher salary 10 years out than you would as a cop and not have to deal with people hating you as much. Well they will just hate you for different reasons.

This has been mentioned above, but law school is not the same as practicing law. Get yourself some practical exposure before you decide to quit - reach out to local prosecutors, say your a former cop interested in prosecution and would like a good hands-on internship.
You might like what you see from the daily life of a local prosecutor.
