Managing Editor or EIC-Worth it?

Post by Jloubriel26 » Wed Oct 15, 2014 11:04 am

Hello TLSers:

I'm Currently a staff member on my journal(top secondary journal at the school) at a T30 school, and the applications for the Editorial Board would be released in the Spring. Basically I would like some opinion on whether having the "Managing Editor" or "Editor in Chief" Title on my resume would help me out in any significant way for OCI at the end of the year.

Thanks in advance.

EIC >>> ME. Totally worth it to gun for EIC if you want clerkship/don't have a job lined up.

Well, As a part-time evening student in his second year, I have not participated in OCI yet. I would like to know if the Title would boost my chances at OCI.

It may have a minor impact on OCI, but holy shit the amount of mind-numbing work you'll have to do is disproportionate to the small benefit you may or may not receive.
