Note-Taking Software

Post by WolverineMachine » Thu Aug 28, 2014 9:06 am

What's is your outlining (in class note taking) software of preference? OS X preferred.

Been using the notepad feature in word but I think I want to change it up. I used one full doc for at home notes and another for class, but would like to change it up for 2L.

This is a question with a correct answer, and that answer is OneNote.

TITCR for note-taking in general, IMO. But in terms of law school? I (in my very limited experience, mind you) find there are very, very few things worth writing down in class, so a laptop is, in and of itself, unnecessary. That being said, OneNote is great for outlining, so you should at least use it for that.

OneNote. Especially now that it's available on Mac OS X.

OmniOutliner. I kind of hate OneNote.

I use Evernote because I had some syncing problems with OneNote.

Using OneNote so far and love it. I'm admittedly not very far into 1L, however.
