I go to an online school (please no comments like "lol what a retard" or "online school is a scam")
They require us to log in our hours every week. every week, we are supposed to do these questionnaires that ask how many hours did you study for exam? how many hours did you study barbri? how many hours did you spend on homework?
in the syllabus, it says these hours are to verify my workload for the state bar certifications or something like that.
Does anyone know what this means? does the bar require a certain number of hours? If yes, how many hours do they require per week?
If I enter all zero, or if I enter less than what the bar expects, will I be disqualified?
does the bar require certain number of hours? Forum

How would the bar administration actually verify that? It's bullshit. They require a certain number of credit hours to graduate but that's it.

I agree that it's BS, but the reason I asked is because for my past courses, I have been putting in ridiculously low number of hours. I have been entering like 30 minutes per week. I have no idea why, I guess I subconsciously thought it's BS and didnt want to waste my brain power thinking it through.kalvano wrote:How would the bar administration actually verify that? by credit hours do you mean "units"?
so nobody will look at the hours that I am entering? the low numbers won't hurt me in any way?

The ABA requires (I believe) 87 credit hours from an accredited law school to receive a JD. The state bars may vary a little bit in requiring a few more hours, or a certain amount of public service, but no one cares how long you spend studying.
But I don't think any of that matters for you. Are there any accredited online law schools? If not, then it's whatever your state requires from a non-accredited school to be licensed.
