How bad is this situation for OCI? (if at all)

Post by iworkforlsac » Mon Jul 07, 2014 12:00 pm

Hi all, so Im a rising 2L doing two intenrships in a split summer.

Im just starting my second half job this week at a gov. office and theyre telling me they can only have me 3 days a week. Should I make plans to get some part time gig for the other 2 days? Or am i better off spending the off days prepping for OCI?

Im worried this fulltime to parttime-ish switch will come up during OCI (although I doubt it will come up if I dont mention it) and look bad. Wanna know what yall think - thanks!!

No one will know or care that you worked only three days a week at your government internship. This is a non-issue for OCI.

Enjoy the extra time off. Have fun on your four-day weekends!

Don't mention it, but if it comes up then it is not a problem. Don't worry.

I'm a rising 2L and I'm pretty jealous of this. If you're not getting paid anyway, I think it would be pretty cool to still get the experience, contacts, and resume line while still being able to have all that time off. I definitely have been underestimating just how much time it can take to research firms and prepare cover letters for mass mail.
