Barbri- Class or Watch it yourself?
I'm currently signed up to go to a school by me to watch the lectures, but I think I'd rather just go to a library or do it at home. Do most people actually go to the class or watch on their own?

I'm watching it by myself, definitely. I'd rather be comfortable at home (or in the library) than be sitting in a classroom for 4 hours.

I would recommend going to the class. The days I decided to watch the lectures at home, I found it very easy to get distracted and do other things.

I usually like to do things on my own, but I don't think I can do that for two months. I need some kind of human interaction. But I don't know if I'll be missing out, because I hear you can speed up the videos a bit to get through material faster.

Totally personal preference - but I watched all online with the major benefit being that I could watch them at 133% speed. A 3 hour lecture took 2 hours. I found the normal pace WAYYYYY too slow. Remember BarBri is designed so even the dumbest student could pass, so the pace was glacial.
So speeding up the lecture kept me focused (can't get distracted or you'll miss something), and bonus now I had another hour in the day to work practice problems.

Re: Barbri- Class or Watch it yourself?
I did my first couple weeks in an actual class to force myself to get up early enough that my studying would be fairly 9-5ish (3L left me with a habit of waking up around 11). After I had been going to the class for a couple weeks, I started watching the videos mostly at the office of my future employer (afterword I would go get lunch, then spend the whole afternoon doing practice questions and whatnot).
Occassionally I would just spend the whole day in my apartment in my boxers....but I think getting out of the house for 90% of my study days helped me with the whole "treat studying like a job" idea.

Another pro-tip this reminds me of - do whatever works best for you. I know I'm not a morning person, so my barbri schedule was from like noon-midnight (with breaks for meals, naps, a little time with the wife), then video games from midnight till 4 am, sleep from 4 am to noon.Rowinguy2009 wrote:I did my first couple weeks in an actual class to force myself to get up early enough that my studying would be fairly 9-5ish (3L left me with a habit of waking up around 11). Just saying, it's similar to billing hours - in the end it doesn't matter when the hour was billed, just so long as it was billed.
