1L Summer Intern - backpack or messenger bag?
Hello all,
I have a paid internship in D.C. this summer with an IP firm, and was wondering if I should invest in a formal messenger bag or briefcase? I am trying to make a good impression since this 1L internship most likely leads to a 2L internship and then permanent employment. I am leaning towards a messenger bag, since their attire is business professional but I don't want to be seen as a douche.
Thanks for the help!

I lived in Washington for nearly four years. Messenger bags are the norm for men. Just don't get one that is bigger than you need: you'll be walking a lot and won't want to carry extra weight.

I was informed that the attire would be business professional, and a backpack doesn't seem to go well with that.
