Bar Study Schedule?
So I am most likely taking barbri this summer, but was wondering if they allow you to take off one day each weekend or is it basically studying 7 days a week for 2 months?

You don't have to stick to the plan 100%. Taking one day off is not going to make or break you assuming you have the other 6 days to study.

What Barbri expects you to do is insane and probably impossible. People find their own balance, but I took every weekend off. Because it's a weekend.

Re: Bar Study Schedule?
To echo the previous poster, maintaining Barbri's schedule is completely unnecessary and may, in fact, be impossible. Just establish a routine and rhythm that work for you and your study habits.
It is important to remember there is no glory in receiving the highest score on the bar exam. Similar to the MPRE, passing is passing. Yes, study enough to be confident you will pass, but a significant amount of studying above and beyond what you need to pass is unnecessary and an irresponsible use of the best time of the year.

I took the July 4th long weekend off too. It's a few weeks before the exam, so take that long weekend, think of everything EXCEPT law, and recharge for the final push.

It is pretty much impossible. I completed around 55% of their goal and passed. I don't know of anyone that came that close to the 100% mark.BaiAilian2013 wrote:What Barbri expects you to do is insane and probably impossible. Well there are two things giving me anxiety: 1. my brother's wedding is 2 weeks before the bar & 2. bachelor party has not been decided yet, but might be in June....maybe I will just sit that one out.

Relax, you'll be fine dude. That is two weekends. I took off way more than that. And as some other guy said, he took off every weekend. Two months is a long time to study.AJS30 wrote:Well there are two things giving me anxiety: 1. my brother's wedding is 2 weeks before the bar & 2. bachelor party has not been decided yet, but might be in June....maybe I will just sit that one out.

Re: Bar Study Schedule?
In addition to taking nearly every weekend off, my summer plans included a bachelor party, a week-long fishing trip, two mini vacations out east (I am from the midwest), and numerous other weekday events and distractions. I managed the test just fine. Obviously, YMMV, but, as others have said, while bar study is tedious and requires diligence, it does not need to consume your life and transform you into a hermit. Seriously considering skipping your brother's (!!!) bachelor party is completely absurd. I sincerely hope you have not discussed this possibility with him yet.AJS30 wrote:Well there are two things giving me anxiety: 1. my brother's wedding is 2 weeks before the bar & 2. bachelor party has not been decided yet, but might be in June....maybe I will just sit that one out.

Re: Bar Study Schedule?
Does anyone have a Barbri paced program schedule for the Texas bar they'd be willing to share with me? Thanks in advance.
