Anybody able to get more need aid as a rising 2L

Is it possible to ask financial aid for more aid or do they usually say no...

This seems extremely difficult. Can you demonstrate increased need, aside from the fact that you now owe money from 1L loans?

I'd be floored if you got anything, though

Yeah, get married to somebody who works at the school. Works every time.

I've only heard of this happening in two situations:

(1) When students leverage transfer offers for increased financial aid.
(2) When schools have scholarships set aside for the top students in the 1L class (presumably to serve as an incentive against transferring up).

Yeah i'll second this. Both are extremely rare, however.

The first is rare because 90%+ of students don't have the option of tranferring. So that takes #1 and #2 off the table

The second is rare because, even if you are in the top ~10%, most schools don't have scholarships set aside. It's a case-by-case thing

Check to see if your school has a continuing students financial aid application.
