CA Bar review Course
Hey all,
I am having a hard time deciding which bar review course to follow for the CA July bar exam....
I looked up Themis CA / Barmax CA / Fleming ... would love to have general input on those courses (or other) and any other advice you could offer.
Also I am an LL.M. student so I need a course that will help me improve in legal writing.
Thanks.

How much are you willing to spend? If English isn't your first language you might want to consider a private tutor for essay practice. This will run you a heart-stopping amount, $5,000 perhaps, but it is about the surest way to go. There used to be a tutor who had several years' experience as a California Bar examiner. You might look for someone like that.

Ouch. 60 days to study. Ours started 3 weeks ago. We get a whole week for the big subjects like torts and contracts.BCLS wrote:Did it start in April? Weird I wonder why Barbri is different. Maybe because CA has a 50% pass rate? I'm in New England

Re: CA Bar review Course
California is a beast of an exam because of the essays. They are brutal and graded very difficult. Regardless of the bar review course you take, I highly recommend subscribing to BarEssays.com. It is a database of real graded essays from past cal bar exams, so when you practice your essays, you can compare your practice essay to real ones that scored high and low, and then see whether you are on track. No review course provides this type of material (they should!) and it is relatively inexpensive to subscribe to BarEssays.
