Word template for index cards?

Post by waxecstatic » Wed Mar 13, 2013 8:55 pm

Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone used any specific template on Microsoft Word when they make flash/index cards. I'm pretty sure it's an Avery brand but so far I've only found one such template and it's pretty weak. Anyone use a specific template for creating flash cards? Thanks!

Just set the paper size to 3x5.

yeah but that's kind of inefficient if you mean setting the page layout to 3 x 5. I know there is a template that has at least 4 index cards a page, and it's split so each corresponding definition is adjacent to the term.

So you're not talking about printing on index cards. You're talking about making your own flashcards by folding half a page in half. That's entirely different.

Googling "word flash card template" brings up all sorts of options.

Yes, that's what I mean. Sorry if I wasn't clear. I have Word 2010, and I know it's somewhere. It's Avery XXXXX--the one I found isn't any good, and you have to sort of guess as far as how it will look when you print.

You're better off buying sticky labels at staples. That's what I do. I don't trust my printer to print on a 3x5 card.

I searched Google with your question, first hit is probably what you need.

If you're okay with digital notecards, then studyblue.com is quite an awesome resource.

Thanks @Lawyer. I actually came across those as well but wasn't quite sure how that would work on Excel. But I went ahead and opened Excel 2010 and it looks really good.

StudyBlue is a good resource as well, but if I open my phone I'm more likely to screw around on Twitter or Facebook than study. Little self-control.
