1L needs to shorten 8 page writing sample to 5- tips?
Should I take out smaller sections or is it better to go through the entire thing and try to make it more concise? Can I just cut out citations to make it shorter/do employers care about correct citation format? (The writing sample is for 1L internship apps)
Thanks!
Thanks!

I included a cover page that described the topic of the writing sample, any necessary background information, etc. I always finished it with something like, "I have been advised to only include X pages for your convenience, so I have omitted a portion of the analysis. The omitted portion is noted in the document. If you would like the full writing sample, please feel free to contact me at email@gunner.com."

Is it actually ok to submit a writing sample single-spaced? I've been wondering this.

My professor asked us to single space for LRW, so I just left it as is and sent it out. Didn't even think about it...gaud wrote:musicfor18 wrote:Is it actually ok to submit a writing sample single-spaced? I've been wondering this.
