Talk to the school. Probably can get accommodations.

Yea notify the Dean of Students or whatever you have.
This happens. They'll probably push your finals back a week or so. It's not a big deal.

Okay thanks everyone. I e-mailed the 2 assistant deans of student affairs and my professors.
I feel like I could take my exams next week but I definitely wouldn't be anywhere close to 100%.

not sure you're supposed to e-mail your professors due to anonymity concerns, but obviously that's a done deal. They will probably just wait to grade the exams until yours comes in.
I'm sure you'll get to reschedule.
Hope you feel better man.

Re: Diagnosed with pneumonia, law school finals start Monday
Asst Dean just e-mailed me back and said I could reschedule if necessary. I told her I would call her Monday morning with how I felt and go from there. I'd really like to stay on the correct exam schedule but maybe instead just throw me in another testing room so I don't bother with my potential coughing/infect the other students.
I'd say my main complaint is the absolute pain in my chest when I cough. Cognitively I feel good. I just looked over an old Torts exam and was issue spotting easily.
We'll see how I feel Monday. For now, I will study like I'm going as scheduled. Thanks for the help everyone!!!

I'd be interested to hear what you choose to do. I'm dealing with a major illness right now as well and have been told by the Dean of Student Affairs that there are several "accommodating options" available to me if I feel it's necessary. Not really sure what I want to do or how a decision to postpone/reschedule would affect things. Did you get any indication that rescheduling would leave some sort of mark on your transcript or negatively affect your grade in any way?
Good luck!
