Taking a year off? Or a semester?
How difficult is it to get a year or semester off from school? How do employers view it? How does it generally affect scholarship? Don't have a good reason for it, essentially want to leave to enjoy my life for a while before beginning my career.

I think a little bit of common sense would answer your questions. If you're sitting in an interview where the issue is brought up, how do you think it looks that you wanted to eat Cheerios in your underwear for 6mo-1yr?

If I was an employer, I would be hesitant to hire you for fear of a repeat episode.
