This is pretty hypocritical of me, but if it's taking you 6-7 hours to read you probably have a reading problem.

Give up on the goal of preparing for cold calls. Best case, you don't get called on (in which case you really would've wasted your time preparing to get called on), and worst case you do and you apologize and say you didn't get a chance to do the reading. There's not enough time left in the semester to waste time on it. Do what you need to learn the law, and otherwise focus on outlining/practice exams.

Ok...fine...i'd say no less than 5-6 hours for about 60 pages on average. Con law is the main culprit. Has the absolutely smallest print and the most pages.Desert Fox wrote:This is pretty hypocritical of me, but if it's taking you 6-7 hours to read you probably have a reading problem.
any opinions anyhow?

I didn't read after the first couple weeks for conlaw and did well. I relied exclusively on the Chem hornbook because I realized my prof had the same opinions as Chem and we were using the Chem text.minnie7 wrote:Ok...fine...i'd say no less than 5-6 hours for about 60 pages on average.
