Even if that's for the whole year, that sounds tragic.gaud wrote:5 credits for ONE semester?!PinkLotus wrote:Am I the only one here with a 5 credit monster of an LRW class?

Ours comes out to 5 credits between two semesters, but the classes have a different focus.stillwater wrote:Even if that's for the whole year, that sounds tragic.gaud wrote:5 credits for ONE semester?!PinkLotus wrote:Am I the only one here with a 5 credit monster of an LRW class?

I can imagine. This semester is only worth 2 credits.. it makes it really tough to care.

The one thing I do like about LRW is I seem to have a lot more control over my final grade.

Balance is key to killing exams. Work hard, play hard. It's still early. I'm not cutting off off-campus socializing until like spring break.Jsa725 wrote:If being at an NHL game counts as CSWS'n, then I am doing it right

the lockout ended?Jsa725 wrote:If being at an NHL game counts as CSWS'n, then I am doing it right
everytime there is a lockout, it guarantees I won't care about hockey for the next 2-3 years and just when they have my interest piqued again, they'll have another lockout.

Just don't understand the point of ungraded LRW. Of all 1L classes, it's actually practical and useful--research, reasoning and writing is what lawyers do. If it was ungraded here, I know I'd blow it off and put forth the least effort possible so I could devote time to doctrinal classes.

Lol. I'd probably do the same. Still, they could make it pass/fail. As my Property professor explained, depending on what school you're at, many law students going to be at or near the top of the general population in terms of the intelligence bell curve. Trying to take a sample of the top 5%, or top 25%, whatever it may be, and place them on a normal distribution will inevitably be arbitrary.PinkLotus wrote:Just don't understand the point of ungraded LRW. Re: OFFICIAL 1L Exam Prep & Motivation Thread (CSWS)
LOL at there being no CSWS thread for upperclassmen. Do folks really check out as early as 2L? I'm in a Crim Pro elective with mostly 2Ls and 3Ls and it's a markedly more relaxed atmosphere. My gunna ass is still front and center tho, haha.
Meeting with my property prof went great! He helped me diagnose my problems with the exam (which was my worst) and hopefully I won't make the same mistakes the next round.

Re: OFFICIAL 1L Exam Prep & Motivation Thread (CSWS)
The 2L and 3L threads both have LOL in the title. First year grades are most important, because when you do OCI this summer that's all you'll have. If you get hired at OCI as an SA, you can blow off 2L, and if they make you an offer at the end of the summer you can blow off 3L as well. That's why we have to grind now, so we don't have to grind later.PinkLotus wrote:LOL at there being no CSWS thread for upperclassmen. Do folks really check out as early as 2L?
