As I was reading the case, I couldn't think of a reason for Scalia to cite to the dictionary, then...BOOM.

Outlined my brief. Now I just gotta hack it out, 10 pages of argument. Shooting for completion by Saturday.

Just don't leave it until the last minute like I did. I pulled an all-nighter, and then on my way to the bus station the subway broke down and I had to sprint the last 20 blocks with a heavy backpack and no sleep. I made it with two minutes to spare. Knocking out a metric fuck ton of my brief tomorrow. CSWS baby! The sooner we finish LRW, the sooner we can focus on the important classes.

THIS. I gotta spit this out by midweek and then I am just focusing on my doctrinal classes for 3 weeks. Probably one class a week, just burning what we've done so far into my head.InGoodFaith wrote:Knocking out a metric fuck ton of my brief tomorrow. CSWS baby! I think we need to create a CSWS Constitution to live by and pass on to future generations.

Getting on that outline grind tomorrow and this weekend. I have a nice little break from LW and it is the perfect time to grind.

Statement of Facts is down, unless I need to go back and add in more determinative facts. Argument has a general outline. Getting that shit done by Sunday evening, but I intend to put in at least another 15-20 hours in that time. None of what I did for the first memo last semester. 5 hours the night before it was due... I was lucky to pull an average grade. Never again bros. CSWS.

It seems as if what we're doing is good practice for summer internships (externships? I don't know the difference, lol), but there's absolutely no need to grade them on a curve, if at all, considering that almost all of the folks in my class are performing at near-equal levels.stillwater wrote:Legal writing is a farce.

Sad part is I need to actually put in minor effort on this brief because I totally mailed in my last assignment.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
