What's up bro. Nah I'm referring to those ILLEGALLY taking it. But for statutes, depending on how many you have, type them over and over again. But reword it so you can remember it. Instead of memorizing the UCC I write, "A firm offer must be in writing and assure the offeree the offer will stay open for a certain time period. Do not need consideration." Just me.gobuffs10 wrote:Hey now. Some of us are legally munching addies.LetsGoLAW wrote:Hey team. Hope everyone is well-rested.
Typing out my outlines today. Taking a few shorter practice tests. Feeling pretty good. Not scared in the slightest of these neurotic zombies illegally munching on addies all day long.
Still gotta sleep, though. No zombie mode. First final Tuesday, really straightforward crim. I'm not sure how to prep other than doing his packet of old exams, but there are no model answers. Plus, my school is weird and teaches the state statutes, not MPC or common law. Exam is closed book, we get the test and a packet of statutes. Any idea how to prep for this?

Any one think that there may be some benefit to taking a day off between finals? I have four days until my K's exam.
I took a day off before my torts exam and still feel like I crushed it. Thinking I'm going to take the rest of today off, study SAT, SUN MON. That should be plenty. I studied 12 hours a day during the semester.

It was just soooooo long. Threw in the original complaint against the defendant but instead of representing the defendant, there's a complaint filed by the defendant against a third party defendant for contribution towards a tort and you represent them. Completely threw me off. Brought up all the proper responses to the claim. Then she put me in the shoes of the original plaintiff and she wanted arguments for allowing amendment of a party's name of the first complaint against the original defendant, but the catch was SoL had passed. So I applied relation back of amendments and argued both sides (did the D anticipate or should have anticipated being thrown into court?).dietcoke0 wrote:What were the issues that got you most tangled up?
Then the final question has the original plaintiff filing summary judgment against me based on testimony during discovery? WTF? Don't they have to bring some kind of claim against me first? I simply addressed that I need to shoot down summary judgment by showing an issue of material fact still existed. I showed the testimony didn't prove the breach for the standard required by plaintiffs for summary judgment.
I felt like I didn't write enough and I'm just unsure if I applied everything properly from the perspective of a third party defendant.

I have a professor who gave a test once and no one in the class got the answer right. He had to grade it by who got it "the least wrong." Everyone else is in the same boat
No worries just keep plugging away

Re: OFFICIAL 1L Exam Prep & Motivation Thread (CSWS)
Mixed day for me so far. Spent about 3.5 hours in the law library. A bit disappointing since I was finally seeing other people in my section doing/reviewing practice exams (I kinda hoped they'd never catch on... haha), but luckily that's really just motivated me even more, and so I just finished a question off another professors practice exam, which made me feel pretty good. I also feel good since I'm done all my outlines now (except my civ pro attack outline, which I'm slowly building as I do more practice exams for that class), and feel like I'm ahead of my peers in preparations. But being prepared is only half the battle... I just need to make sure I can keep improving my analysis and get it as good as it can be, because at this point, I feel like what is most likely to hurt my grades is that I just don't analyze deep and clear enough.
Though, I do feel like I'm starting to get my organization down. Now that I actually have the law mostly memorized (well, at least for my final first) I don't have to keep referring back to my outline, which saves me some time. I may use that extra 4-5 minutes to do a slightly more detailed outline, and just give the entire problem more thought before I start writing.

In case anyone is interested, the Siegel's Contracts Q/A is available through Amazon's Kindle Download (I don't have a Kindle, but I have the app).

How'd you do?
I hate waiting for grades. I'm so impatient. I missed the days of getting the test back later that week.
