Citations

Post by splittermcsplit88 » Fri Sep 28, 2012 4:41 pm

This is for my LR assignment. I'm utilizing two cases and I'm supposed to derive the rules from them. If a case states a rule and cites it to another case, do I have to cite both? or just the case I'm using?

I think you're supposed to go one level deep, same as quoting. But i'm not sure if that's only for law review articles or also includes practitioner documents.
