Pinpoint cite unpublished cases?

Is it possible to pinpoint cite unpublished cases, if you know the reporter number its going to be published in?

For an unpublished case, I would cite to the * page number assigned by the electronic database you're using. For example, NAB Asset Venture II v. Lenertz, Inc., C4-97-2181, 1998 WL 422207 at *2 (Minn. Ct. App. July 28, 1998).
