Re: Dropping out
Wait, so you are just matriculating? And you are dropping out after only a few days of orientation? This seems somewhat...well rash lol
Also, how do you know if you hate the law? You haven't even started yet!?

Re: Dropping out
At least give it a couple weeks. You've come this far for a reason, right?
If not, drop out and enjoy not having to worry about getting a legal job vs. swimming in debt.

Re: Dropping out
this is a pretty stinging indictment of tls, in my opinion. if we can't even convince 0Ls that law students are douchebags, how the FUCK are we going to convince them that they're going to end up unemployed and crippled by debt?

Re: Dropping out
Your tar looks depressed. Has he always looked like that?
But seriously, orientation was that bad for you? I met a ton of nice people today. A couple weirdos, but mostly nice.

Re: Dropping out
See if you can defer a year and leave. If you are already so unhappy, maybe you should listen to that.
You've mentioned doubts about law a couple of times. If you aren't sure you want to be a lawyer, then don't go. It is a waste of your time and money.
Get out now before you have debt.

wtf did you apply to law school for?KevinP wrote:It wasnt law students being dbaggy that ruined it for me. I have depression issues, left a good job, am aspie as fuck, and dont want to take out a shitton of debt when I could go back to a job that pays hella nicely while doing what I love.

Re: Dropping out
I think if you stuck around, you'd almost definitely find cool people you like / would be great friends with.
That said, I don't see the point in going to law school if you really don't want to study law / be a lawyer. If you have a good alternative (particularly something you love doing) and the law thing isn't jamming for you, sure, get out while you still have no debt.
Best of luck on all fronts man.

Re: Dropping out
So leave now. Law school is terrible for people with depression. You can always say you got into a top school but decided not to go.KevinP wrote:It wasnt law students being dbaggy that ruined it for me. Honestly... after reading this, you probably should drop out. You (a) loved your previous line of work (b) made good money with it, (c) are unsure about taking out loans and (d) don't even know if you want to practice law. Sounds like you have no real point of going. Go back to what you love, man. Good luck with whatever you choose.

I agree with the above poster. I'm jealous that you had a job that pays well and was satisfying.
