Law Review significance to IP
By and far if you want to work in a large firm the consensus is that law review is huge. I just transferred into a T1 from my T4 and wish to go the IP/patent prosecution route. Thoughts on LR's significance when pursuing a career in IP?

close to zero significance (other than the fact that it shows you write well, but this can be seen after you've done a few assignments as an SA). anyone who says otherwise has an agenda

LR/journal is not significant to any firm job, but the absence of it on ur resume might raise an eyebrow here or there, but even then very unlikely to affect u adversely in any significant way.
might look nice for the resume if u end up as editor-in-chief or some other title that makes people think ur a boss, like "managing editor". but just being a journal member is really not huge pro or con.

As long as your undergrad major is EE, ME, or Computer science and that your law school GPA is above median, your prospects of finding a job is significantly higher than your law school peers.

Less ME and more EE than in previous years though.Gamecubesupreme wrote:As long as your undergrad major is EE, ME, or Computer science and that your law school GPA is above median, your prospects of finding a job is significantly higher than your law school peers.

My thoughts on the matter (however useful or useless they may be) from another thread: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 5&t=188851Lycurgus wrote:I have Biomedical Engineering Degree. Does that seem too life-sciency?

Also aren't transfers pretty much the only people that can get away with not having a journal without it raising eyebrows? Not being at the school when writing competition happened is usually a pretty understandable excuse...
