Hello all. I am currently a part-time, evening student at NYLS who works a full time job during the day. Since I am unable to quit my job, this makes getting an internship rather difficult. I was wondering if anyone knew of any programs or volunteer services looking for students to donate time on a somewhat limited basis? I have found that our school is not tremendously helpful in guiding evening students with limited time into avenues of gaining legal experience. I would assume there are numerous organizations looking for volunteer work (such as Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts), and am looking to try and put together a list of such organizations in one place. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
