I really thought we'd get more grades today. I'm cautiously optimistic after doing well in Property and I just need to not bomb the rest of my classes and I'll call this a win.

i'm surprised we don't have crim/conlaw yet. we'll have to wait for k's till the bitter end.

Congrats on Property both of you. Yes, I heard we might not get K until the last day if we are going by precedent--granted this is his second time teaching K and there was a world limit. I need my crim law grade first so i can know where I am really heading. Didn't feel good about this exam.

Two of my classes are now "auditing final grades" (the last step before they post them) gaah such a tease since there's only 30 minutes left in the workday for today (west coast) so they probably won't come up until tomorrow.

I think it's better I don't have my grades yet because if I did well, I'll get complacent about the write on and if I did poorly, I'll just want to give up on the writeon. Either way there is little motivation!

They post a lot of steps actually, grades submitted, then normalized then reviewed then audited or something annoying like that. But sometimes they don't update at each step, although usually twice for each class before you get grades (submitted and audited before they get posted).

I got used to it last semester. It's like being "in review" after application received or something. Damn status checkers.

If I was at your school I would not mind it, but trying to transfer from my current school to your school it would be the end.

One of my professors who I went crawling to after I got DESTROYED on an exam told me that the students who screw up their first semester see a huge upswing in their grades during the second semester.

I hope he's right, because I busted my ass this semester.

My school sends out an email that grades are up. Then I promptly start drinking and have my significant other check my grade and text me if I should come back inside. I do not know why I am posting this, but I guess I am nervous.

This is my predicament. I have been accepted into a top 20 school EA, I am not worried about making my stips, but is it worth going over my current lower T2 if my grades are lower than the top 20.

If I do repeat my first semester grades then I have a shot at the top 14 schools as a transfer student. All in all it sucks to wait and write personal statements thinking that I will repeat grades.

I think of the medium every time I see someone who is homeless. I think at schools outside the top 20 being outside the top 20% beacons the unemployment line.

Do you seriously think this way? I know not everyone finds legal work but at my non-top 20 most everyone I know has jobs lined up. I'm sure there are exceptions to this, but the general rule appears (atleast for my non-top 20) that one can find employment even if they are below median. I suppose that mostly involves networking and a lot of hustle on their end. Plus, charisma can go a long way in the right setting. Idk. TLS gloom and doom always makes me but...oh well.

Anywho, I found out tonight that despite all of my bitching about failure, I booked my civ pro class. That was a surprise indeed.

Congrats on the award. Internships do not seem to be a problem for anyone. But it is bar prep time at my school and it does not seem that a lot of people have careers lined up. My school has good employment for a tier 2, but a lot of it is shit law. I guess I am gunning for big law.
