Do schools release students' ranks to other students? Forum

My school doesn't rank after the first semester, but does after the second. Will it be a list, like #1: Student's name, #2: Student's name, etc, or will we only receive our individual rank number?

I would almost certainly imagine that you will personally receive your own ranking information rather than everyone's information being available to everyone. However, I did hear that Cooley students can actually access something that shows not only everyone who is on "honor roll" or whatever they have there, but also everyone is who is on academic probation.

Cornell releases something like the top 5 students after the end of 1L year.
