program for taking notes on a mac Forum

I`m sure this topic has been covered, but I am curious as to what most think is best program for taking notes?

I have been out of school for a number of years. I used a notepad and pen. Thanks!

Circus Ponies seems to be the consensus, although most peopke also seem to agree that One Note is better (but only available for windows). Some people actually set up to run Windows on their Macs just for that.
