ITT: We Celebrate Richard Freer

Post by TTH » Thu Dec 15, 2011 5:03 pm

Emory Professor Richard Freer is a God among men. 1L year, I spent four days a week in Civ Pro I playing flash games, and Rich Freer got me through with an A. On the occasions I showed up to Business Associations this year, I almost exclusively did not pay attention, yet I'm confident Freer will keep me from falling too far off the curve. And of course, Freer's power allowed me to skip taking notes in Civ Pro II this semester as well.

Professor Freer, on behalf of lazy law students everywhere, I salute you.

I 100% approve of this post. Civ Pro final is on Tuesday and anything I know about civ pro is/will be because of Richard Freer.

Richard Freer is the most amazing man alive and I credit my A in 1L CivPro to him as well. <3333
Great thread, TTH.

And Freer does Corps too? OMG SO EXCITED.

Freer taught me more Civ Pro in 3 days than I learned throughout the rest of the course. Truly a legend of the law.

When he came to my school to give a talk to the 1Ls this year, I personally went up to him and shook his hand.

Still haven't washed my hand since.

Was it a book or the TLS audio that you are crediting him for?

Barbri video. It's a lecture and it is win.
He also does live lectures as well that are likely the same as the video.

The man had a lot to do with my A+ in spring semester of civ pro. To 1Ls: Glannon is incredibly overrated; very superficial level of review. Freer is what you should be reading.

Subtle tag
yes but don't buy it. Just take out an older version from your library. It won't be missing that much other than the new pjx cases, maybe the Hertz diversity rule, and Iqbal/Twombly.

Not sure about that. I got As in civ pro 1 and 2 using glannon E&E exclusively, while paying no attention in class. glannon may be overstated, but I dont know about overrated.

Did this freer guy happen to write something for tax that I can pick up for tomrorows exam? :|

Freer and Glannon should have a dance battle to determine which has the most Civ Pro swag.

Where do you get his civ pro lecture at? My school has the Law School Legends lecture. Is that what everyone is speaking so highly of?

Also, is that Aspen Publisher book the second edition of his book he wrote under the Introduction to Civ Pro?

his lectures are on BarBri's website. If you signed up for the $50 deposit on BarBri's Bar Review course during the semester then you have access to his lectures

If I pass Civ Pro, it will be because of Richard Freer. I have had no idea what's been going on this entire semester, and after my final tomorrow, my life will turn into Freer/E&E 24/7.

He is a god among mere men. Went to one of his live lectures; I learned more in those 6 hours than I did in the entire semester. It was like a shroud was taken off and things just made logical sense. I don't know if it was just my own CivPro professor jumbling everything up or if it was Freer being incredibly clear. He deserves every last drop of praise he gets.

I was wondering if you'd see this thread :) Here's to our weekend Civ Pro party led by the one and only Richard Freer.

I feel like we will basically be part of a Richard Freer cult by the end of it. It's gonna be epic. We can learn all of Civ Pro before Tuesday!

+1. 95% of my Civ Pro knowledge this semester came from Freer and Glannon.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
