I would enjoy them if they weren't graded. I would enjoy them a little bit even if they were graded, if they weren't directly curved. (I.e. if the top and bottom were set by the class performance, but the middle were up for grabs.)AreJay711 wrote:So I haven't been able to find anyone in real life that agrees with me but does anyone else think exams are kind of fun?

I might be the stupidest person ever. I may receive the worst grade in my torts class. I created a duty where there was none, and then went on with the analysis.

Unless you found an issue that was not there, why would it matter? And even if you did, if you analyzed what should happen after the duty was created, you should get points.cinephile wrote:I might be the stupidest person ever. Re: 1L Fall Grade Waiting Thread
I've been done with all of my exams for a week, am firmly convinced that I have no idea how I did (hoping for above median), and just want my grades already. Maybe I should go bug the registrar. She has to know something by now...

Is anyone else ping-ponging between thinking you did well and thinking you did horrible like 4x a day? I've never been so uncertain about something in my life, its awful

This is why you drink after every exam. That way, there is no way to remember what you put down at all and you just roll with it.DocHawkeye wrote:This is the story of my life right now. Just thought of a torts issue I missed. I had thought I did well, now not so sure...nmcdgt wrote:Is anyone else ping-ponging between thinking you did well and thinking you did horrible like 4x a day? I've never been so uncertain about something in my life, its awful

I thought you drank before the exams so you couldn't remember what you wrote down.
I did it wrong.

Re: 1L Fall Grade Waiting Thread
My torts exam was almost exactly like 3 of the past exams he gave us. Assuming most of the class did the practice exams and checked the model answers, this is going to be one tight ass curve. Making me worry even more.delusional wrote:Just thought of a torts issue I missed. Torts grade just came through. Never thought I'd be thrilled with an A-, but I guess there is a first time for everything!

I'm torn between wanting my grades now so I can get any necessary mourning out of my system and move on, and not wanting grades for a long time so that they don't ruin my holidays. Bah.

Re: 1L Fall Grade Waiting Thread
I'd definitely rather have my grades now. It's going to be almost February before I get them back..ugh. Also, I still can't figure out why for the love of god I ignored everyone who told me NOT to talk about the exams with classmates afterwards. AWFUL idea.

I think the best strategy is to wait to look at grades. Otherwise, you might be stuck looking at a low grade for 3 weeks when your other grades might be good or get your hopes up only to have them shattered by the iron fist of the curve.

To all 1Ls who took their Civ Pro Finals this semester:
Obama just signed into law the "Federal Courts Jurisdiction and Venue Clarification Act of 2011."
In effect, replaced §1391(a)-(d) with a new version and it amended §1404.
I'm sorry, you may have wasted some time for nothing...

Re: 1L Fall Grade Waiting Thread
Our Civ Pro professor informed us of this the day before the exam and told us to use the new law. Fun times.NoleinNY wrote:To all 1Ls who took their Civ Pro Finals this semester:
