UCC Question: Services for Goods

Post by pifhib2 » Sun Dec 11, 2011 3:45 am

Does the exchange of services for goods > $500 fall within the UCC?

e.g. We contract that if I repair your Porsche you will give me the junker in your backyard.

My labor is worth $501 and your junker is worth $501. Is this contract under the UCC (and therefore under the SoF, etc.)? Or do common law principles apply?

Stop looking for a right answer. This type of fact scenario screams "analyze UCC and common law." Do so.
